Charles Parmele built this marvelous Dutch colonial home in 1905,on a hill overlooking the Missouri River Valley. A successful banker and entrepreneur in Plattsmouth, he also built an opera house adjoining the hotel with indoor facilities complete with an attendant. All has since burned to the ground but not until 1966! Mr. Parmele, his wife and three children enjoyed the home for many years.
